WORKSHOPS & SEMINARS

I offer high-value workshops to groups:

From Avoidance to Action: How to Take Your Inner Critic in Hand and Get Things Done
If you want to move your practice forward and get projects done — but often hear a little voice in your head (a.k.a., the Inner Critic) whisper things like, “That’s a dumb idea,” “You’ll mess it up,” or “Maybe you should do more research first” — this practical, neuroscience-based seminar will show you how to befriend your Inner Critic by paying attention to what it’s *really* trying to tell you.

In this 90-minute seminar, you will:
• Find out why we all have an Inner Critic
• See what’s actually happening when the Inner Critic appears
• Explore why “manifesting” and “positive thinking” don’t seem to help
• Develop a method for shifting your focus and befriending your Inner Critic
• Learn supportive new skills.

New Prompts for Artist Statements
This hands-on workshop supports artists to generate statements with pleasure and confidence instead of fear, doubt, and/or Artspeak. Participants leave with a rough draft of a statement they can use for websites, applications, outreach emails, and more. The workshop includes practical information, guided imagery, and peer-to-peer feedback to create an empowering 360-degree experience that reveals a new way to approach writing. New Prompts for Artist Statements can be conducted in two to four hours (with breaks), depending on the skill level of the participants.

Here’s what people say about the workshops:
“I gained so much insight in a short amount of time.”
“I loved the step by step tools you shared that I can immediately put to use in my daily practice. I also appreciated how you were able to discuss what happens in our brains in very simple and easy to understand ways.”
“Thank you so much, this was so actionable and helpful.”

These workshops are always tailored to the participants, and I’d love to bring them to your class or group! Email me to discuss scheduling and rates.
